About the place In this role, you take a central responsibility for the safe, legal handling of hazardous substances within the logistics at the Hilden site. As a specialist Logistics with a focus on Hazardous Materials, you are the specialist contact person for storage, transport and disposal of dangerous substances and supports teams as well as managers in the practical implementation of legal and internal requirements. You work closely with relevant interfaces such as EHS and actively contribute to the safety, compliance and continuous improvement of logistics processes.
Your tasks include:
Monitoring compliance with all applicable statutory requirements for storage, disposal and internal and external transport of hazardous substances in the Hilden logistics area Implementation and documentation of internal audits for the legally compliant storage of hazardous substances in the logistics and storage areas Daily, systematic monitoring of maximum permissible storage quantities of hazardous substances using MS Excel Development of storage and safety concepts for hazardous substances and active participation in their implementation Technical advice on all questions relating to storage, disposal and transport of hazardous materials Close cooperation with adjacent departments, in particular EHS, and support in regulatory and internal requirements Participation in relevant training and further training offered regularly by QIAGEN
Your profile:
Complete training in the field of safety technology, chemistry, environmental technology or comparable; as an alternative technical training with well-founded further training in occupational or health protection Detectable practical experience in professional handling of hazardous substances and exposures, ideally in the industrial environment Very good knowledge of relevant legal regulations and standards, such as GefStoffV, TRGS (in particular TRGS 402, 500, 519) and REACH Safe handling of hazardous material catastrophes as well as documentation and tracking processes Structured, practice-oriented working with high care and awareness of responsibility Impressed consulting and communication skills as well as the pleasure of supporting teams and executives
