As our Laboratory Technician in the Acrylics Extrusion Lab, you will focus on physical testing of innovative acrylic-based adhesive systems. Working hands-on in both laboratory and pilot plant environments, you will contribute to the development and optimization of advanced adhesive solutions. You will collaborate closely with scientists, chemists, and engineers, transforming ideas into robust, real-world products. This role offers a dynamic setting where precision, curiosity, and teamwork are key to driving innovation forward.
Your tasks include: Planning, conducting, and independently evaluating physical tests in laboratory and pilot plant environments Coordinating all physical testing to ensure high-quality results, efficient workflows, and smooth lab operations Analyzing samples with regard to adhesive performance and polymeric properties, and supporting formulation development, optimization, and maintenance for adhesive systems Using digital tools (e.g. LIMS, AI-based solutions) to accelerate development, testing, and documentation processes Managing defined work packages within larger R&D projects, in close alignment with your manager Providing technical guidance and training to apprentices, students, and new team members on test methods, laboratory procedures, and safe working practices Documenting, interpreting, and presenting test results in project meetings and cross-functional teams
Completed vocational training as a Chemical Laboratory Technician, Physics Laboratory Technician, CTA, PhyTA, Chemical Production Technician, or a comparable qualification, ideally with relevant professional experience Strong interest in hands-on laboratory work combined with a willingness to take on organizational responsibility Enthusiasm for testing innovative adhesive systems, coordination lab activities, and mentoring junior colleagues Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in interdisciplinary teams Strong communication skills, team spirit, and a structured, reliable working style Very good German skills (written and spoken) and intermediate English proficiency
