As a senior system architect, you are responsible for the holistic technical architecture of our production and testing facilities and ensure that mechanics, electrical engineering/electronics, automation technology and software grow together into a powerful overall system. In this key role you actively shape the technical profile and future orientation of our department. Their architecture-related decisions significantly shape the further development of our platform landscape, the technological methodology and the specialization of the team.

Define overall architecture and derive technical requirements from product and process requirements – including coordinated cooperation with development teams at the Oberkochen site to ensure common platform and architecture approaches Developing concept and system design for production plants and equipment Developing platform concepts or building new platforms – in particular in line with the already established architectural principles. Professional leadership of interdisciplinary teams (mechanics, electrical, automation, software) Coordination of all technical solutions with internal partners, external suppliers and manufacturing Troubleshooting Support and Sustainable Ensuring Plant Performance Support technical budget, appointment and resource planning together with project management Developing architecture standards and actively sharing and mentoring knowledge in the architectural community

Successfully completed studies of mechatronics, mechanical engineering or a comparable engineering direction, with doctorate

Long-term experience (ideally more than 10 years) in the architecture of production facilities, special machines or test systems

Very good knowledge of development and systems engineering methods

Ability to capture complex systems structured, abstract and communicate clearly

Secure stakeholder management across different disciplines and leadership levels

German and English knowledge in word and writing

Representative team and leadership competencies combined with pragmatism in the technical environment
