We are looking for a controller (w/m/d) for the Finance Department at WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management. The job description includes the typical range of activities in the controlling and is aimed at a number-affine talent (w/m/d) with a high tendency to analytical and conceptual questions. Your duties

Creation of budgets and forecasts focusing on material and personnel costs Implementation of deviation analyses and derivation of measures to achieve objectives in close cooperation with budget managers Creation, standardisation and further development of internal financial reporting Implementation of final activities in the context of cost center accounting and introduction of meaningful cost-benefit accounting Introduction and further development of controlling software (Business Central, Data Warehouse and BI tools) as well as further development of methods (e.g. Definition and reporting of control-relevant indicators and implementation of benchmark analyses

Successfully completed studies in economics, business informatics or a comparable qualification Multiannual professional experience in controlling, ideally focusing on material and personnel costs in the context of cost center accounting Joy in the further development of controlling processes, methods and solutions as well as a pronounced business partner minority set Very good Excel and PowerPoint knowledge, as well as experience in dealing with BI tools High numerical affinity, pronounced analytical skills and an independent and predictive way of working Team skills and communication strength in German and English
