The State Office for Nature, Environment and Climate of North Rhine-Westphalia (LANUK) is a regional authority in the fields of nature conservation, technical environmental protection for water, soil, air and climate. In the field of air quality testing, we continuously monitor the air quality in NRW with several coordinated measuring systems for inorganic gases (NO/NO2, O3, SO2) and fine dust (PM2.5 and PM10) as well as ultrafine particles. In order to fulfil the legal tasks, we have set up measuring containers at more than 60 locations in the country, which record air quality at traffic-loaded locations, in the urban background and rural regions outside the conurbations. For the transmission and validation of the measurement data or for the repair and calibration of our measurement technology, we operate a DV range or a test laboratory at the Essen site, which are closely linked to the external service team. In addition to our continuous air quality measurements, the air quality monitoring system (LUQS) of the specialist department also includes laboratory-based measurements at stationary and mobile stations. As an IT specialist:in our DV team you are administering our specialist information system for detecting air quality in NRW (e.g. user management, data security, data-technical connection of measurement technology).
