Career changer as steward gastronomy on board (m/f/d)

As a steward you are the:the hosts:in Intercity as well as ICE and ensure excellent gastronomic service during the train ride. At the closest possible time, we are looking for you as a temporary worker: on behalf of DB Fernverkehr AG for a job as a cross-enterer:in order to retrain the Steward Gastronomy on board (w/m/d) at Frankfurt am Main site. As a temporary worker, you deliver your work in the mentioned business segment while you complete your work relationship with us, the DB Zeitarbeit GmbH. This is what awaits you in retraining:

Retraining takes place in full time and consists of theoretical and practical classes The duration of retraining is about 4 weeks and ends with a final examination The theoretical teaching as well as your practice assignments take place at Frankfurt am Main The training class consists of about 12 participants

After your retraining, you take the following activities:

For our guests you make every trip at ICE and Intercity a first-class experience As an attentive:r host:in you take care of a pleasant atmosphere on board and help you get in and out In the on-board restaurant you are responsible for the preparation of food and drinks In the 1st and in the 2nd. You can maintain our gastronomic offer at the place Our guests are competent: contact person:in case of questions with advice and action You offer a high quality of service and make sure that guests feel comfortable all around

You have a successfully completed training in a service-oriented profession such as restaurant specialist or hotel specialist Alternatively, you have (first) professional experience in gastronomy or hotel industry As active:r seller:you can achieve the sales targets with additional or alternative offers Through your strong team and communication skills, you can handle people, especially the sovereign solution of conflict situations You are open to digital communication media - tablets, apps and co. are welcome to you The readiness for overnight stays as well as irregular shift and exchange services are of course for you You master the German language in word and writing (B2 level), also in English you can talk to your guests

Applications of already trained stewards are also welcome. After successful completion of the functional training, an exercise of the profession is usually also possible in parttime. For operational reasons, retraining must be completed in full time.
