Customs & Excise Operations Manager (m/f/d)

Support in the implementation of new processes and projects with all participating business partners Implementation of timely and correct application for incoming production and laboratory materials, samples, machines and spare parts Verification of transit documents and classification of our goods by customs tariff settlement of search and dunning procedures and the provision of timely payments of excise and customs duties Implementation of export controls for business operations and notification of irregularities Compilation of transit documents for incoming and outgoing shipments Processing of special applications and provision of Intrastat / Extrastat notifications, JSOX checks and internal reporting refunds Support of the Global Tax department for technical and legal updates of customs software updating and testing of JTI systems (SAP, Fiori, MIC), analysis and correction of processing errors Staff management of the Customs & Excise Team and individual development of individual employees

Relevant training: Completed studies in the field of financial sciences or comparable, alternatively completed commercial training (banking, industrial management, logistics) with further specialisation in tax Practical experience: at least 5 years of experience in customs and excise matters, knowledge of international logistics of excise goods; comprehensive knowledge of EU regulations and procedures in the field of customs and excise duties Valuable knowledge: PC identifiers (SAP and MIC / Custom software power user, Microsoft Office (data analysis with Excel / Access); very good knowledge of German and English (in word and writing) Special strengths: ability to think strategically and to analyse the macroeconomic environment of the tobacco industry; Accuracy at work and ability to work under strict deadlines Personality: Applied Business Knowledge Working time model: 37.5 hours / week, working hours
