Fully qualified lawyer in labour law (m/f/d)

The role as a legal counsel in labour law encompasses the care, development and implementation of all relevant labour law issues within our German companies as well as the coordination in the international team and the participation in group-wide initiatives. From the start, you also take responsibility for your own topics and projects. Our Group Law Department supports the Bauer Media Group in a dedicated and forward-looking manner in all legal issues and supports the strategic orientation of the business units. We are intensively engaged in the digital transformation, we examine how we can digitize processes meaningfully, introduce AI-based methods and further develop our legal advice on a future-oriented basis. For our work law team at the Hamburg site, we are looking for a Legal Counsel that works with enthusiasm and commitment at eye level with the business for the success of the company and is happy to take responsibility in the team. In this role you report directly to the Head of HR Legal and work closely with it on all labour law and strategic issues.

Self-employed counselling of executives and support of HR teams in individual and collective questions. Own-sponsored support of labor-related transformation and restructuring projects. Processing and coordination of labour court proceedings and preparation of judicial and extrajudicial comparisons. Coordination of international issues, in particular with colleagues in the UK, Poland and France. Creation, testing and further development of labour law documents in German and English as well as cooperation in knowledge management (e.g. templates, playbooks, guidelines). Support in HR Legal Operations: Designing modern and efficient processes, introducing digital and AI-based workflows and establishing effective documentation. Working with group-wide HR initiatives, governance issues and policies. Close cooperation with external firms including control and quality assurance.

Successfully completed first and second state exams with above-average result. At least three years of relevant professional experience in labour law, ideally in a law firm or legal department. Finded practical experience in individual and collective labour law as well as a pragmatic, solution-oriented way of working. Interest in corporate strategies and linking legal issues with business decisions. Very good analytical thinking and the ability to communicate complex facts in a comprehensible way. Secure appearance, empathy and team skills as well as pronounced stakeholder orientation. High affinity for innovative technical solutions such as Legal Tech and AI. Very good English skills.
