CONCLUSIONS The lung clinic is an organ center with the focus on pneumology, thorax surgery, thoraxoncology, sleep and respiratory medicine and weaning station as well as an intensive care unit with the focus on ECMO and lung failure.

As an interdisciplinary organ center, the Lungenklinik offers all modern diagnostic and therapeutic methods apart from lung transplantation. There is an extensive stationary and outpatient care with the focus of rare lung diseases, pulmonary infections, bronchiectases, CF and oncological ambulance. In a new building at the highest technical level, the own intensive care unit offers the entire spectrum of intensive care and respiratory medicine, from severe lung failure to pre-clinical ventilation on one level. There is a training authorization for internal medicine and pneumology, intensive medicine and sleep medicine.
