As the leading association of the largest branch of industry in the country, the Association of the Metal and Electrical Industry (METALL NRW) represents the economic, social and collective policy concerns of 25 member associations, some 2,200 companies and 450,000 employees. In close cooperation with the Landesvereinigung der Associations of Companies North Rhine-Westphalia e.V. (Entrepreneur nrw) the association positions itself on these issues with respect to the state government, the parties, the trade unions, other social groups and the media.

For our team in the field of communication, we are looking for a speaker (m/w/d) with the focus on social media and public relations.

You develop our social media strategy as well as the websites, promote our social media channels, create content and secure community management You organize and produce our video and podcast formats You also support the communication team in the planning and organisation of various events of the association, in statements for the media, as a contact person for media enquiries and as an accompaniment of the president and the chief executive

Ideally, you have completed university studies in the field of communication, media, journalism or a comparable qualification You bring first or more years of professional experience in the specified areas of activity You are familiar with technical aspects of online distribution, because you know how content is optimally placed on a platform You are characterized by a secure handling of common social media tools (e.g. LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram), content management systems (Typo 3), canva and analysis tools You have an interest and understanding of economic and social issues You are creative, have pronounced communicative and conceptual skills and you are a high level of team orientation
