For one of the world's most innovative pioneers in special machine construction and e-mobility, we are looking for a project manager Production & KI (m/w/d), who will bridge the gap between classic craftsmanship and state-of-the-art IT. This position is a direct service, i.e. you are directly employed by our customer. The entire application process is controlled by Academic Work. In this role as Project Manager Production & KI (m/w/d), you are the creative head when it comes to digitizing the physical assembly of highly complex special machines. Digitization of assembly: You identify potentials and develop concepts such as artificial intelligence (AI) can support the direct assembly process. Implementation of technologies: From the introduction of smart chatbots to the use of machine learning – you make innovative IT trends usable for the mechanics at the work bench. Project management: You accompany digital tools from the first idea to the test phase to the final commissioning directly in the assembly hall. Interface communication: You are the link between the IT/digitalization department and colleagues from mechanical and electrical assembly.

We do not seek pure theorists, but hands-on people who know how a machine looks from the inside and at the same time have the digital glasses. The foundation stone (Your studies): You have a successfully completed degree in the field of IT, digitalization, business informatics, project management or a comparable degree program. Your roots (the craft): You bring an extremely high craft affinity. Ideally, before your studies you have completed a craft training (mechanics, electrical, mechatronics or special machine construction) and you know exactly how to mount and operate assemblies. Your Mindset: You have a huge interest in AI topics, machine learning and process automation. Your personality: You are communicative, like standing directly on the machine (shopfloor) and love to make complex things simple and usable.
