Key topics include the further development of market design in energy trading, the developments in market access in wholesale gas, hydrogen, electricity and CO2 certificates and the current challenges in financial market regulation. The department also makes an active contribution to strengthening the European internal energy market in European associations and in regional cooperation. The preparation of the topics and the development of solutions takes place in close cooperation with our member companies, who often send long-term experts and executives to the management of the company to the relevant bodies of the BDEW. .
