Senior Consultant (m/w/d) Code: 1502/2025/12 Location: Bonn In the field of population-related health research in Bonn, the position of the Doktorand (m/w/d) pharmaco-epidemiology in full time and initially for three years is to be taken to support our interdisciplinary team. Our goal is to explore healthy ageing: Why do some people show less age-related decline than others? What factors influence health and disease in the course of life? And how can we support healthy ageing? Our research is mainly based on the Rhineland study, a prospective cohort study focused on deep phenotyping of participants. The cohort currently comprises more than 12,000 participants and data from more than 5,000 participants from the first follow-up. The comprehensive data collection provides detailed structural and functional imaging of the brain, cognitive testing, cardio-vascular examinations, examination of sensual systems, questions on medical history, lifestyle, nutrition and mental health, detection of drug use and the collection of biomaterials. We also have extensive biomarker data. We are looking for a dedicated and ambitious scientist (m/w/d) who wants to complete his PhD in the field of pharmacoepidemiology and will have an active role in a major international research project.

Pharmacoepidemiology is an important research area within the Rhineland study, where data on drug use can be linked to various clinical, imaging, biochemical and genetic data. You will be involved in several projects in this field. In addition, you are actively involved in a major international project dealing with the reduction of waterborne medicinal products. The project aims to address the problem of drug residues by working closely with experts from 7 countries in North-West Europe from the pharmaceutical and water sectors. The DZNE is responsible in this project for pharmaceutical operations in Germany and will play an important role in this. In addition, you will participate in national and international scientific conferences and write scientific publications.

Excellent master's degree in pharmacy (probably), epidemiology, medicine, biomedical sciences or a related subject Working experience in pharmacy is desirable First experience in epidemiological research or large-scale observation studies is beneficial You have excellent organizational and networking skills, are resilient and have a conscientious, careful working style at the highest quality level.
