Study Assistant (Study Nurse) for the III Medical Clinic and Polyclinic (m/f/d)

The III. Medical Clinic and Polyclinic of the University Hospital Hamburg-Eppendorf includes the focus on nephrology, renal transplantation, rheumatology and endocrinology/diabetology. Within this clinically and scientifically closely linked structure, the conduct of clinical studies is to be further developed and professionalised. The focus of the written position is on the operational implementation and coordination of clinical studies within III. Medical clinic and clinic. The focus is on the structured implementation of study visas, the protocol-oriented collection and documentation of study-relevant data, the timely data entry into study systems and the close cooperation with auditors:inside, monitors:inside, sponsors:inside, laboratories and outpatients. The initial focus is on nephrological studies, in particular in the field of glomerular diseases. Perspectively, the position should contribute to the building of reliable study structures within the clinic and allow patients to have structured access to innovative therapy and study offers. You can look forward to a varied activity at the interface of patient care, clinical research, study documentation and interprofessional cooperation. Pre-experience in clinical research is welcome, but no compelling prerequisite. A structured incorporation and the possibility of continuing vocational training in the field of student assistance or Study coordination is planned. Your tasks: You support the implementation of clinical trials within III. Medical clinic and polyclinic, first focusing on nephrological and glomerular diseases. The focus is on the practical implementation of study visas and the complete study-related documentation. These include in particular: Conduct and support of study-related visits in accordance with the study protocol, including preparation, process coordination and follow-up Collection and documentation of study-relevant findings, vital signs, accompanying medication, unwanted events and other protocol-related information Timely, complete and quality-secured data entry in electronic case report forms and study databases Processing of queries and data queries in coordination with auditors:inside, monitor:inside and sponsor:inside Organisation, implementation and follow-up of study-related laboratory and sample processes, including sample processing, dispatch and documentation Implementation of study-related basic measures, in particular blood collection and system-based diagnostics Maintenance of study-relevant documentation, including Investigator Site File, Delegation Log, Screening Log, Business Tracking and other study-specific documents Communication with patient:inside, examiner:inside, ambulances, laboratories, monitor:inside, sponsor:inside and CROs Support for initiations, monitoring visas, audits and close-out activities Participation in the establishment of standardised clinical trials within III. Medical clinic This position must first be fixed for two years, an extension shall be made regular. An already existing, permanent employment relationship in the UKE remains unaffected.

Ideally: Experience in clinical research, study assistance or study coordination Continuing and continuing training for the student assistance according to Continuing training curriculum of the BÄK (at least 120 hours) or willingness to acquire a certifcation Training curriculum (120) desirable Safe handling of patients:inside and enjoying structured, responsible work Good knowledge of German in word and writing; English knowledge of study-related communication desirable Safe handling of MS Office; Experience with electronic study systems Organisational skills, accuracy, team skills and reliability Interest in clinical research and the further development of new supply and study structures A completed further education and training as a student assistant (at least 120 hours) leads to grouping into the 8 TVöD-VKA. If this further education and training is not yet available, the temporary grouping is carried out in the 7 TVöD-VKA.

Fair and transparent remuneration according to our contract TVöD/VKA (42.900 € - 55,000 €) taking into account qualifications and professional experience.
