The construction electronics and weapons systems department at the NVL includes several disciplines: The group “Electric technology” is concerned, among other things, with automation systems, cable systems, electric drive, lighting systems and alarm systems on board. The group “System Integration” is responsible for the topics relating to communication, navigation, sensor, education and weapons systems/combat management systems, information security, ship signature and electromagnetic compatibility. Your tasks at a glance: You take responsibility for the design, integration, support and testing of the systems and assemblies assigned to you within a project. Technical enquiry and order specifications are created by you - for this you work in close consultation with internal departments as well as external partners (subcontractors, authorities). You conduct technical negotiations with suppliers and evaluate offers in close coordination with purchasing - while keeping in mind both quality and cost-effectiveness. In close cooperation with project partners, you agree to the contractual integration of your systems and thus secure the technical implementation according to the requirements. Preparation of acceptances, handovers and commissioning at the subcontractor or on the ship incl. the creation of test specifications and protocols are your responsibility. Last but not least, you control the flow of information and coordination with adjacent coordinators (m/w/d) and system managers (m/w/d) within the department as well as with other departments.

Graduate in electrical, system, news, information or ship engineering, economic engineering or a comparable course of studies, as an alternative to a further education for technicians (m/w/d) Ideally some years of experience in the shipbuilding industry or maritime industry, ideally in the German Navy Advantage: Knowledge in applicable naval regulations, standards and standards You are able to answer technical questions confidently in German and English Safe handling of MS Office, ERP systems, 3D CAD systems and product lifecycle management systems A technically versed, efficient, reliable and solution-oriented team player with a high self-initiative, quick understanding and safe appearance. Standing for occasional missions (approx. 10%)
