With around 49,000 employees, the customs administration is a steadily growing and very versatile administration under the umbrella of the Federal Ministry of Finance. As a modern tax and economic administration, we generate about half of the taxes flowing to the federal government, but also combat customs criminality within the framework of law enforcement. The Customs Administration shall include the General Customs Directorate as the Headquarters of Bonn and other offices, as well as 41 main customs offices and 8 customs offices, which shall perform in particular the operational tasks of the Customs Administration.

Management and control of customs administration's operational processes in the field of responsibility, in particular participation in the supervision and implementation of specialist supervision on the employees of decentralized radio stations. Support for customs services in telecommunication matters. Representation of customs administration in bodies of telecommunications technology of authorities and organisations with security tasks (BOS). Technical support for the central procurement processes. Participation in the implementation of key tasks, in particular in the development and updating of technical concepts and technical standards in the fields of electrical and communication technology, the development of nationwide uniform requirements, support in the introduction of new technologies and procedures, as well as in the evaluation of technical developments and derivation of recommendations for action.

We expect that from you: You have a successfully completed university education (University/University of Applied Sciences) such as Bachelor/Diplom in the following fields: Electrical engineering Information and communication technology.

You are the official of the Higher Technical Service in the grade A 10/A 11 BBesO. The existence of a valid driving licence of class 3 or B. German knowledge at least at level C1 according to the Common European Framework for Languages (GER). You bring the willingness to carry out a safety review pursuant to § 8 of the Security Audit Act.
