The Ecumenical Workstation Weitblick belongs to the area of education in the Ev.-Luth. Church district Hamburg-West/Südholstein. It makes ecumenical perspectives visible and effective in church communities, services, works and at church level. In this role, you strengthen cohesion between denominations, shape interreligious dialogue and engage in global justice. This allows you to actively shape the development of our church circle and achieve real impact. The Ev.-Luth. Kirchenkreis Hamburg-West/Südholstein is looking for an for its area of education at the closest possible time Consultant (m/w/d) für die Ecumenische Arbeitsstelle Weitblick, Full-time, limited to 5 years maximum until 31.07.2031.

You connect and accompany ecumenical initiatives and groups in the church circle. You develop educational opportunities, advocacy actions and campaigns around mission, ecumenism and justice. You work closely with ecclesiastical and non-church partners in Hamburg. You advise communities on the financing, development and evaluation of ecumenical projects and projects. A special focus from you is to accompany the creation of funding applications for projects up to the decision-making process. You accompany committees on issues relating to globalisation, sustainability and climate justice. You win volunteers for ecumenical work and continue to qualify.

Higher Education or Higher Education Studies in Education, Social Sciences or Cultural Sciences. Social competence, self-initiative and a structured way of working. Team spirit, commitment and desire to advance things. Joy in conceptual work and the organization of events. Identification with the aims of ecclesiastical development and justice work, as well as the desire to actively shape our Church and achieve real impact. Ideally, first experiences in the field of ecumenism or foreign activity. Good English skills, further language skills are a plus.
