Trade Compliance Officer, preferably a business lawyer or business economist (m/f/d)

In this position, you will ensure legal behaviour and compliance with legal and internal guidelines for all trade-related areas – sales & service, purchasing & import, export, customs & shipping and construction – and thus make your contribution to strengthening our company-wide and group-wide organizational structures.

Monitoring: You have obligations and deadlines in mind and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and compliance processes. Identification: You cover potential risk factors, introduce prevention measures, establish standards and accompany their implementation. Control instance: You check goods for export restrictions and during the KYC process for identity check all business partners, agents and suppliers according to Third Party Guidance – always in coordination with the relevant departments. Documentation / Administration: As a rule, you collect guidelines in the compliance system and provide master data for the export of goods (HS codes and dual use) as well as creditor and debitor strains, incl. Installation, modification, blocking and unlocking. Communication: You are continuously in exchange with internal interfaces, authorities and compliance managers at other locations. Consultation: You provide advice to our employees on the subject of compliance, inform proactively about new requirements and pass on your knowledge in workshops. Data protection coordination: You work closely with our external data protection officer and ensure a legally secure implementation.

You have a completed business studies or a commercial training, e.g. to the merchant (w/m/d) for forwarding and logistics services – ideally with a further education in the fields of export control, compliance or risk management. You are already practiced in dealing with legal texts and have experience in policy management, compliance and risk management and legal operations – with cuts on data protection topics. You are redirected with MS Office, MS Business Central and Screening software such as Visual Compliance and are experienced in master data management. With your analytical view, you can easily identify risks at an early stage and correctly classify them. Whether management or employees – you communicate proactively and solution-oriented, implements measures to prevent danger and convinces with high integrity. In addition to your passion for knowledge transfer, you will be able to demonstrate dialogue as well as communication strength in German and English. You are ready to occasionally travel to other group companies, including abroad.
