At the Institute of Medical Technology and Mechatronics of THU, the part-time job (80%) is to be filled with the possibility of doctoral studies at the earliest possible time: Research Assistant*in (w/m/d) Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning – Project iTAS-PLMS iTAS-PLMS (interactive Therapy Assistance System for patients with Periodic Limb Movement during Sleep) is a project funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research. The aim of this project is to investigate a sensor system that aims to improve the therapy and diagnostics of the Restleg Legs Syndrome in the home environment.

Development of technical prototypes (hard and software) to carry out measurements with test subjects. Support in carrying out measurements within the framework of clinical and domestic measurement campaigns. Researching robust machine learning algorithms for evaluating the collected data. Creation of scientific publications, reports and presentations, participation in specialist events and conferences.

A scientific university degree (Master / Uni-Diplom) with very good degree in a degree course in the field of mechatronics, medical technology, computer science, electrical engineering, Computational Science & Engineering, etc. Very good programming skills, ideally in Python Very good knowledge of electronics development and artificial intelligence is desired Competent and willingness to participate in a doctoral programme Embossed flexibility, willingness to learn, willingness to interdisciplinary cooperation and team skills Very good communication skills, in word and writing, in German and English
