Consultant for the promotion of young scientists (m/f/d)

The University of Bayreuth with its family campus is one of the largest employers in the region. In the Service Department of Young Researchers (WiN) of the University of Bayreuth, a position as soon as possible is Senior Consultant (m/w/d) in full time. WiN and the University of Bayreuth Graduate School (UBTGS) provide doctoral students and postdocs with a wide range of consulting and support services.

In this responsible position, you take on a variety of tasks concerning doctoral matters and promotion of young talent: You advise young scientists, including doctoral students and doctoral students, on organizational questions and funding opportunities. You maintain and develop the central doctorate database and ensure smooth processes. You develop events such as kick-off seminars, workshops and information offers for young scientists and take over their organization and evaluation. You support the further development of support programmes and work in projects and working groups. As management, You accompany the Executive Board of the Graduate School in regulatory changes, audit procedures and budgeting and support the Vice-Presidents for Research and Young Researchers in his tasks in the field of young scientists. You support third-party applications in the context of questions of young scientists and coordinate sample presentations and visits. You work closely with various areas of further administration, such as Incoming Degree, and develop processes together, for example for international doctoral students. You take care of the care of the website, publish tenders and contribute to public relations.

Complete university studies at a university (master or comparable), ideally also a doctorate. Professional experience in science management, as far as possible in the field of promoting young scientists with knowledge of the German and international university and scientific landscapes as well as experience in academic self-governing. Representative conceptual and communicative skills, self-initiative, experience in advising young scientists. Advanced Excel identifiers are mandatory. Knowledge in SQL and the handling of statistical data analysis tools are advantageous. German and English knowledge in word and writing. Our own experience abroad in science is advantageous.
