Team Leader Design (m/f/d)

As Team Leader Construction (m/w/d), you are driving innovation and leadership to actively shape the future of production at our battery production sites in the EMEA region. In your function as a central contact for CAD-related knowledge and design tasks within the operation organization, you take a key role in connecting construction and production performance.

You are part of the Manufacturing Engineering leadership team and contribute to cross-sector initiatives and to the implementation of strategic goals. What you will do As a team leader Construction (m/w/d) you will run a dedicated internal CAD team responsible for the creation, modification and management of CAD drawings/models as well as BOMs for special machines and tools in battery production.

You will construct and contribute your expertise in manufacturing engineering in innovation processes for new product designs, to develop new plants with the responsible departments and support the works in optimizing existing machines. Your main tasks include: leadership and further development of the internal CAD team as well as external design offices to ensure the quality and effective design process Providing innovative design solutions and technical expertise to support Manufacturing Engineering (ME) Creation and modification of 3D models and CAD drawings for new and existing production systems and tools Creation and maintenance of piece lists based on CAD drawings Management of the content and structure of the Product Data Management (PDM) system to ensure data integrity and accessibility Definition and maintenance of standard guidelines for CAD use as well as the ME-PDM system and their extension to the Operations Organisation in the EMEA region Establishment and maintenance of a standardised catalogue of standard and purchasing parts in cooperation with relevant stakeholders, e.g. the internal mechanical workshop Support for internal and external mechanical workshops during production and assembly phases Participation in risk assessments and ensuring compliance with safety standards and statutory requirements in plant design Implementation of technical calculations to ensure correct interpretation and dimensioning of special and standard components Selection of suitable materials, tolerances, manufacturing technologies and surface treatments based on functional and process-related requirements Cooperation with the ME teams for process and control technology to define interfaces and assess the impact on plant design Examination and validation of designs to ensure compliance with specifications and defined performance (Scope of Work) Technical support in the selection of suppliers and make-or-buy decisions to ensure optimal

Complete degree in mechanical engineering or comparable technical qualification (technical or engineering level) Specialization in the field of construction technology is of great advantage detectable experience in the construction of special machines Deep CAD knowledge, especially with Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks and AutoCAD expertise in Product Data Management (PDM) systems; Experience with PRO.FILE is a strong plus First leadership experience is advantageous Experience with CAD simulations is also advantageous Embossed project management skills and effective communication skills combined with a practical and solution-oriented approach Proven ability to build strong working relationships and effectively communicate across all organisational levels, including international teams and non-technical stakeholders High quality awareness and pronounced detail accuracy Confidence with CE guidelines and regulations Secure handling of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) flowing language skills in German and English in word and
