Product Manager Sanctions List & PEP Screening (m/f/d)

In the area of Anti-Financial-Crime, we are responsible for the systems with which each transaction and every customer is checked against sanctions, embargo and PEP lists - in real-time payment transactions. As a product manager, you develop these systems professionally and technically further, calibrate the matching logic and work closely with our IT development teams, AFC operations, compliance, and external list and software providers. You move at the interface of regulatorics, data and product - with short decision paths and directly visible effects.

You are responsible for the technical and technical development of our screening systems for transaction screening (payment traffic in real time) and KYC name screening against sanctions, embargo and PEP lists You continuously calibrate and optimize the matching logic (including fuzzy matching thresholds, name and transliteration rules) based on hit quality and false positive analyses You make sure that the list sources (including EU, UN, OFAC sanctions lists, PEP databases) are currently integrated, keeps regulatory innovations in mind and derives adaptation needs You create (special) concepts and user stories for new screening features and support their implementation closely with the IT development team as well as external list and software providers You analyze data requirements and interfaces to upstream and downstream systems (payment traffic, customer master files, case management) and manage their integration into the overall architecture You work closely with AFC operations and compliance, prepare validations, tests and releases before production and document changes audit-proof

You have a successfully completed study with economic or IT-technical orientation (e.g. business informatics, economic engineering, BWL) or a comparable qualification You bring professional experience in (technical) product management or as a product owner with ideally in the area of sanction/PEP screening, transaction screening or AML/AFC at a bank or FinTech

You ideally know the regulatory requirements for sanction compliance and screening systems (GwG, EU sanction law, BaFin regulations)

You have a pronounced affinity for data, matching logics and complex business processes and think analytically, structured and solution-oriented

You have experience in working with IT development teams, writing User Stories and testing

You convince by excellent communication skills, a hands-on mentality, and very good German and good English knowledge in word and writing
