Your main tasks include ensuring the uniform application of road traffic regulations on federal motorways. You independently decide on traffic regulations and contribute to the proper implementation of legal and organisational requirements. In addition, you will be assisted by the laying down of principles for the exercise of road traffic tasks under the applicable requirements of the Autobahn GmbH. Another focus of your activity is the completion of the road map (StVO). This includes, in particular, the processing and decision of derogations, permits and traffic regulations in accordance with the relevant provisions of the StVO. In addition, you will accompany and coordinate the approval processes of traffic management plans and ensure that You are implemented professionally and legally correctly. You also take over technical networking and represent the department in committees, specialist boards and project meetings. Within the framework of the reporting, you coordinate internal and external enquiries, for example from authorities, other specialist departments or external bodies, and ensure proper and timely processing. Within the framework of the technical supervision of the external bodies, you are responsible for the technical supervision in the field of transport law and advise the external bodies in complex technical matters. For example, you exercise the right of retention and support the uniform application of road traffic regulations. In addition, you will develop conceptual principles, action instructions and work instructions to optimize and standardise internal processes. A further part of your activity is the creation of opinions and the processing of complex and partly politically sensitive road traffic situations. You work in a solution-oriented, responsibly and with a high level of professional safety.

For this position you have a completed scientific university or Higher education in the field of civil engineering with a focus on transport or on equivalent skills, qualifications and experience. Ideally, you are bringing many years of professional experience to a road transport authority and have a well-founded knowledge of road and traffic law. Particular importance is given to knowledge in the relevant regulations and regulations, in particular in the Road Transport Order (StVO), the General Administrative Regulation on StVO (VwV-StVO), the Federal Road Law (FStrG), the Directives on Road Transport Safety (RWBA), the ASR A5.2, the Directives on Road Signs (RWBA) and the Directives on Road Signs (RWBA) as well as the Directives on Motorways. You have a class B driver's license and carry the willingness to regular service trips.
