Social Services (m⁠/⁠w⁠/⁠d) Your year of recognition: Social work that moves people. From 2027, the Klinikum Darmstadt and the AGAPLESION ELISABETHENSTIFT together as Südhessen Kliniken will shape health care in Darmstadt and Südhessen. A common maximum provider is created from two traditional houses at the campus Mitte and campus Woog. With around 1,300 flatbeds, the Südhessen clinics become the second largest hospital in Hessen. The combination creates a strong health association with a wide range of services – from highly complex intensive care to outpatient interventions to modern hybrid services. At the same time, we are investing in training, continuing training and creating new perspectives for our employees. Why hospital social service? Because social support in the hospital is just as important as medical care. The focus of the hospital social service is on man with his individual life situation. This is not only what is medically possible, but also what is needed after the hospital stay. The work in the hospital social service is versatile, demanding and close to the human being. From consulting on social issues to the organisation of connection services to support in difficult situations of life – every case brings new challenges and individual solutions. As a hospital of maximum care, we offer a wide range of medical areas and complex supply situations. Together with medical care, care, therapy and other professional groups, the social service contributes to ensuring a holistic supply.
