OT Network Engineer (m/f/d)

You make our energy systems digitally secure. For this, you develop robust networks, clear structures and sustainable technical solutions. We realize photovoltaic and storage projects in the megawatt sector and are looking for reinforcement for the planning, implementation and commissioning of our OT networks.

About the positionYou accompany our industrial communications networks throughout the entire project. This includes architecture and detail engineering as well as configuration, cybersecurity, FAT, SAT and commissioning. We make basic architectural decisions together in the team. Within your department, you gradually assume independent technical responsibility.

OT network engineering: Planning industrial Ethernet networks including IP addressing, VLANs, routing, segmenting, redundancy and integration into existing customer networks. Interface management: coordination of technical boundary conditions with customers, suppliers and other trades and active procurement of missing information. OT cybersecurity: Implementation of Segmentation, Zones & Conduits, Firewall Rules, Remote Access, Management Access and Hardening taking into account IEC 62443. Technical procurement: Selection and specification of switches, firewalls, network cabinets and other OT infrastructure as well as technical offer assessment. Configuration & Tests: Configuring network components, setting up test environments as well as performing and accompanying FAT, SAT and integration tests. Start-up & Troubleshooting: Analysis and elimination of network and communication problems in the test system and on site. Lifecycle & Documentation: Participation in backup, restore, patch management, monitoring and obsolescence as well as creation of the relevant engineering and as-built documentation.

Technical background in IT, network technology, automation technology, electrical engineering or a comparable field. Good knowledge of Ethernet, TCP/IP, subnetting, VLANs, switching and routing. Experience with industrial networks, firewalls or OT cybersecurity is beneficial. Knowledge of IEC 62443, PRP/HSR, RSTP/MSTP, VPN or network monitoring are welcome. You work independently, identify missing information and pursue technical problems structured up to the solution. Good knowledge of German and English as well as willingness to project-related operations with suppliers and on construction sites
