Network administrator (m/f/d)

On the basis of professional network and security technologies, you will design the future of our network infrastructure on campus and in our data centers with us in the IT team. In close cooperation with other teams, you plan, implement and operate our networks of firewall, load balancer and switch clusters, with stepped segmentation, routers, WAN connections, VPN solutions, NAC and access points. You score through your enthusiasm for open source software and automation. In agile mode of operation, you work independently and flexibly on solutions for stable, performant and above all safe networks. You analyze network and performance problems, optimize our monitoring and logging solutions, and keep a close eye on network security.

You bring solid experience in the design and operation of network infrastructures (Layer 2/3, Routing, Switching, Wi-Fi) and have training as a specialist informatics or specialist in system integration, a computer science study or comparable training as a basis for your success. You have good knowledge about IT and have first experiences in one or more of the following technologies: pfSense or Barracuda, VPN gateways, firewall or switch clusters or network monitoring tools (e.g. Zabbix/Checkmk). Ideal would be first knowledge of automation technologies. With Windows shots you can also score for IT integration. You can deal well with people, are customer-oriented, think with and understand the different requirements of the specialist departments very well. You are curious and open to new things and continuously expand your IT horizon – especially in the field of network security and automation.
