Number: MER0003PF2 The RD/KSR department is responsible for the passive safety of Mercedes-Benz vehicles of the S, E, C, GLC class, Roadster and AMG series. Our aim is to provide a maximum level of passenger protection. In addition to a vehicle body with a design-proof passenger cell and defined crumb zones, the basis for this is also the development of state-of-the-art passenger restraint systems. The “Development airbags & safety belts” team has the responsibility for the components of the airbag and safety belt components and agrees the restraint system components to the best possible occupant protection in the overall system.
