Digital Procurement Manager (m/f/d)

The introduction of SAP S/4HANA is a central transformation program at ZEISS with the aim of establishing excellent and sustainable business processes. The focus is on the harmonisation and standardization of processes and structures that will shape the functioning of ZEISS in a sustainable manner. End-to-end process considerations form the methodological foundation for the design of best-in-class processes and structures within an integrated ERP system. This includes the control and integration of external IT service providers as well as close cooperation with internal departments. Your role In your role as Digital Procurement Manager, you take a central responsibility at the interface between business, IT and external partners: Decision-making and escalation management: You are responsible for the compensation of different functional and SBU-specific process requirements, make informed decisions and, if necessary, initiate escalations to accelerate decision-making processes.

Moderation and stakeholder management: You moderate and structure discussions between process experts:in various ZEISS units as well as international project teams and ensure sustainable results.

Promoting process and system thinking: You support specialist areas in establishing a holistic, process-oriented and system-based work.

Introduction and rollout of digital platforms: You accompany the introduction and international roll-out of new shopping and process platforms – in particular in the context of regulatory and legal requirements.

Best-Practice transfer and end-to-end integration: You promote the exchange of best practices within the SCM organization and ensure seamless integration of adjacent processes.

Control of external consulting partners: You coordinate and orchestrate external consulting services in a multi-provider setup (strategy, process and ERP consulting).

Project and program management: You create, maintain and control project plans in close coordination with the overall program as well as the strategic objectives of the purchase.

Continuous process optimization: You actively promote improvement, monitor their implementation and initiate appropriate corrective measures if necessary.

Use of AI-based solutions: You introduce sound know-how in the AI environment, use different Large Language Models (LLM) and act as drivers for their use in process support. You have profound knowledge in the application of various AI solutions, design prompts and introduce them into an agile working environment.

Successfully completed studies in the field of economic engineering, industrial engineering or comparable qualification

Multiannual professional experience in process optimization and in international CRM and ERP implementation projects

Found experience in Business Process Excellence, ideally focusing on Procure‐to‐Pay

Embossed conceptual and analytical skills with a view to the whole as well as the ability to distinguish relevant from irrelevant questions

Very experienced personality with enforcing strength, compromising capacity and experience in dealing with resistances in expert fields

Detectional experience in the leadership of interdisciplinary (Swarm) teams using agile methods and principles

Strongly pronounced change management skills and a self-sponsored, creative and result-oriented way of working

Experiences in handling AI solutions, implementation, prompts and adaptations to various process requirements

Very good knowledge of German and English in word and writing
