The Klassik Stiftung Weimar is a non-profit foundation of public law and is one of the outstanding cultural institutions in Germany. The focus of the Foundation's collections and work are the Weimar Classic, its implications in the art and culture of the 19th century. Century and Modernity with Friedrich Nietzsche and the Bauhaus. The collections are supervised by the Duchess Anna Amalia Library, the Goethe- and Schiller-Archive, the museums and the historic buildings and gardens.

In the Schloss, Gartenen und Bauten directorate, Liegenschaftsmanagement department, at the next possible time, indefinitely, in full-time (40h/week) the following place is to be occupied:

These are your tasks:

• Observe object responsibility for one or more objects
• Perform regular object visits and controls of building material, land and technical installations (e.g.: heating and air conditioning, electrical, fire and intrusion systems)
• Cleaning and maintenance of outdoor facilities
• Monitoring cleaning and care by external service companies
• Coordinating and monitoring of crafts and service companies in maintenance, care and repair work
• Operating, monitoring and maintenance of plant engineering and its building control (GLT)
• Repair of technical equipment malfunctions, notification of identified deficiencies and special events
• Implementation of small repairs, assembly and repair work
• Implementation of transport operations under the control of traffic safety requirements
• Conducting the winter service
• Participation in the service system: standby service from Monday to Friday 18:30 – 06:00 and on weekend 24 hours.

We expect that:

• at least three years of completed vocational training for the caretaker
• relevant professional experience in the training profession; ideally with experience in listed objects
• of advantage are a pronounced technical expertise and craftsmanship
• physical loadability to perform the above tasks
• Communication capability (safe handling of the German language, oral and written), readiness to compromise and critique
• Class B driving licence with at least one year driving practice
