Service Engineer or Technician for Products Spectroscopy (UV–Vis-NIR, FTIR, RF, Raman) in FT (37.5 hrs/week) (m/f/d)

You are responsible for providing technical support and support to the service technicians of the local Shimadzu organizations for spectroscopy products by phone, email or remote maintenance Your tasks include the training of these service technicians in the training center in Duisburg and the creation of digital training content for our internal e-learning platform Its area of responsibility also includes the installation, maintenance, repair and instruction of equipment in our company and at end customers in the European countries in which we operate. The travel percentage should not exceed 20% on average. You act as contact persons for Shimadzu Corporation, based in Japan, forming the link to the local service technicians. This allows you to ensure smooth communication and reporting regarding the products you provide.

You have a training, technicians, masters, masters or bachelor degree in electronics, chemistry, physics or a related subject or equivalent qualifications You have already gained professional experience in the technical service or in the chemical analysis in one or more of the range(s) molecular spectroscopy (UV/Vis/NIR spectrophotometer, FTIR spectrometer, FTIR-Raman microscope, fluorescence spectrometer) You have very good English skills in word and writing, good German skills or willingness to learn German language You control the handling of the Windows operating system and MS Office applications You can work independently and are able to work effectively in the team. You have pronounced communication skills, professional appearance and self-confidence You are very flexible, ready to travel and have a class B driving licence
