The future – the environment – society (ZUG) gGmbH, a federal promoter, operates the PtX Lab Lausitz, which was founded in 2021 on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and is now a firmly established player in the region and in the national and international specialist community. Your tasks

• You are working on the design and implementation of quantitative and qualitative scenario analyses for the transport sectors and the market for PtX fuels and raw materials.
• Based on the results of the numerical analysis, you will create scientific publications and develop recommendations for action for different actors.
• You advise on regulatory and political frameworks to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in air and maritime transport
• On system modeling and ecological macro modelling to analyze the steering effect of policy instruments, you are critically involved.
• Together with your colleagues, you develop innovative, interdisciplinary and sustainable solutions for climate policy and market economic challenges.
• Results You communicate effectively by creating articles, policy papers and other publications, presenting key findings at conferences, as well as designing and conducting workshops, webinars and other specialist events.

Your profile

• Completed academic studies (Master or University Diploma)
• Programming experiences with mathematical solution environments (such as Mathematica, MathLab, SimuLink, GAMS, Phython, R)
• Very good English knowledge in word and writing as well as proven German knowledge at least at level B2
• Quality and solution-oriented, independent operation combined with joy in team work and a strong interest in environmental and climate protection issues
• First experience in project management
• Ideally knowledge of modelling global equilibrium models (such as NiGEM, FSGM or EAGLE)
• readiness for occasional trips to Germany and abroad
