Gr. A 11 BBesO, E11 TV EntgO-DRV Activity Database Management is responsible for the database landscape of the data center of the German Pension Insurance (RZ DRV). Our Team Database Transition is responsible for planning and designing the PostgreSQL database landscape for all pension insurance companies. As a central part of the IT architecture, we play an important role in enabling the smooth processing of pension and rehabilitation processes. They are pioneering in the introduction and commissioning of the high-availability PostgreSQL database environment (with Patroni) for our internal and external customers, including: Planning and designing the introduction and application of new PostgreSQL database products/plugins and creating the corresponding documentation for their use Programming tools/scripts for automation (with Ansible, Artifactory and Gitlab) of tasks in the database environment (for example installation tasks, logbook creation, housekeeping) Own support and initiation of laboratory and test positions of PostgreSQL products (for example Proof of Concept of new products and versions, testing of scripts) Regular patching of our PostgreSQL products

A completed university education (Bachelor, Diploma) in the IT sector or an equivalent qualification, e.g. an IT-specific qualification, a completed vocational training as a specialist informant*in or comparable practical experience in the IT sector Knowledge of PostreSQL as well as its software and products Multiannual practical experience in the database area and first knowledge in SQL Knowledge and experience in detecting, analyzing and correcting error states in PostgreSQL databases as well as operating systems (Unix / Linux, Shell) Ideally, you already experience the operation of highly available databases on Engineered Systems / Exadata as well as experience with automation tools (for example Ansible, Artifactory and Gitlab) with Experiences in project work and conceptual text design are also desirable.
