Network Engineer (m/f/d)

Further development and safeguarding of specialist expertise in the field, taking into account the current market situation and the technical level of development, coordinated with the leadership, providing necessary skills and further development of employees Definition of product specifications and development methods, professional leadership of project teams and ensuring a demand-oriented design of network components (firewalls, routers, cryptographic systems) Planning, configuration and responsibility for scalable network structures, zoning concepts and complex network systems taking into account the quality, costs and dates as well as evaluation, delegation and control of all activities within the work packages Consulting and support for sales, product/project/obsolescence management, project architects, system engineers and IT security (internal & external) for the use, planning, implementation, integration and operation of network solutions Moderation and negotiation with internal & external partners/customers, leadership support in defining and developing processes, methodology and tools as well as support for project-specific network and function tests, including audit-proof documentation for security certifications

Complete study of computer science, communication technology or comparable IT system training and/or qualification as technician:in/master:in, each with profound product and system understanding as well as many years of professional experience Multiannual leadership experience of interdisciplinary R&E teams, well-founded network and security practices, comprehensive knowledge of electronic components, systemic evaluation of electronic design, and strong policy competence for norm-oriented developments Knowledge of the configuration of switches, routers (e.g. Cisco, NVIDIA, Arista) and enterprise firewalls (e.g. Palo Alto, Fortinet) for enterprise, campus and IoT architectures, including VPN technologies and curing methods according to highest security standards Knowledge of the ISO-OSI model with control of all layers of the IP stack and competent recommendation of suitable communication and transport protocols for applications Solution-oriented, structured and independent work, high responsiveness, strong analytical skills with detailed awareness as well as pronounced communication and team skills
