About the opportunity In this role, you actively shape the development and stable operation of complex biotechnological production processes at QIAGEN. As a Senior Specialist Bioprocess Development - Operations, you take technical responsibility for products and processes in the GMP-regulated environment and act as an interface between production, quality and development. You drive improvements along the entire process life cycle – from technical support of existing processes to technology transfers, scale-up activities and sustainable optimizations in quality, robustness and costs. Your tasks include Technical support and continuous development of biotechnological production processes (e.g. enzymes, antibodies) Technical support of processes during transfer to production Creation, care and review GMP-relevant documents such as production regulations, SOPs and Technical Reports Technical management for deviation analyses (including root-cause analyses), definition of CAPA measures and implementation of change control processes Close cooperation with production, quality control, quality assurance, engineering and R&D Active cooperation or management of cross-departmental projects, e.g. for process optimization, modernisation or digitization Your profile Completed scientific or technical studies (e.g. biotechnology, bioprocess engineering, chemical engineering or comparable), ideally with master or doctorate Multiannual professional experience, preferably in a GMP-regulated production or development environment Knowledge of biotechnological manufacturing processes and process optimization Structured, analytical and solution-oriented operation with high quality awareness Impressed communication strength and safe occurrence in interdisciplinary teams Very good knowledge of German and English in word and writing
