Head of the Independent Trust Office of the University Medical Center Münster (m/f/d)

As head of the trust office, you take on the technical, organizational and strategic responsibility for building and operating the facility. Tasks include: Construction, establishment and continuous development of the independent trust as a central service and governance unit Technical and non-professional management of the trust office and professional management of the employees Implementation of legal requirements, in particular from the Health Data Use Act (GDNG), the Data Protection Act (GDPR, National Law) and the Information Security Responsibility for identity management including deduplication, allocation of system-wide unique identifiers and management of pseudonym lists Conception, implementation and operation of pseudonymization and anonymization processes (including image data) Consulting and support of researchers on data protection-compliant data flows, pseudonymization, anonymization, consent management and data archiving Establishment and operation of an internal research register according to GDNG Close cooperation with the Medical Director, the Data Protection and Information Security Officer, the Faculty of Medicine, IT and other central institutions

Completed academic studies, e.g. in Computer Science, Medical Informatics, Data Science Medicine, Epidemiology, Public Health Law (in particular data protection law) or a comparable subject

Relevant professional experience in the field of trust, data protection, research data management, biobanks or comparable structures Knowledge of data protection law (GDPR, national health data laws, ideally GDNG) Experience with pseudonymization and anonymization concepts as well as with sensitive personal (health) data Ideally leadership experience or experience in building new organizational units High analytical competence, structured and independent working Communication strength and consulting orientation in dealing with researchers and central institutions Impressed sense of responsibility and ability to work in a highly sensitive, regulated environment
