For company headquarters in Hamburg's HafenCity, we are looking for you to start as soon as possible ICS Expert (m/f/d) Here's what you can look forward to: In this role you play a key role in shaping, enhancing, and embedding the Internal Control System (ICS) across the organization. Reporting to the Head of Process Excellence, you will work closely with stakeholders across Finance, Trading, Treasury, Sales, Information Security, and Operations to strengthen the control environment, drive process improvements, and ensure effective risk management. You will not only maintain and monitor the ICS framework but initiate contribute to its further development by designing pragmatic controls, optimizing processes, and implementing sustainable governance structures that support the company's growth and compliance objectives.

Drive ICS Development: You develop and enhance the Internal Control System, ensure it remains effective, scalable, and aligned with business and regulatory requirements. Design Risk-Based Controls: You identify process risks, develop appropriate control frameworks, and establish practical controls that strengthen governance, compliance, and financial integrity. Lead Control Monitoring and Testing: You coordinate and evaluate control effectiveness testing, analyse deficiencies, and drive remediation measures to enhance the control environment. Partner with the Business: You advise process owners and business stakeholders on process design, control implementation, and risk mitigation strategies across the organization. Processes and Governance: You identify opportunities for standardization, automation, and efficiency improvements while supporting the development of sustainable governance structures. Manage ICS Tools and Reporting: You further develop the GRC environment, maintain high-quality ICS documentation, and provide meaningful reporting to management and stakeholders.

Professional Experience: Several years of experience in internal controls, risk management, internal audit, governance, compliance, or a related GRC function Educational Background: Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a comparable field ICS and Risk Expertise: Strong understanding of internal control frameworks, risk assessments, control design, and control testing methodologies Process Excellence: Proven experience in balancing and improving end-to-end business processes and implementing sustainable control solutions Technical Skills: Experience with GRC tools, control documentation methodologies, and strong Excel and data analysis capabilities; BI tool experience is an advantage Industry Knowledge: Experience in energy trading, financial services, oral complex and highly regulated environments is beneficial With these characteristics, you fit perfectly with us: Analytical and Solution-Oriented: You combine strong analytical thinking with a pragmatic approach to complex challenges Influential and Collaborative: You build trusted relationships, challenge constructively, and work effectively with stakeholders across all levels of the organization Proactive and Driven: You take ownership, identify improvements opportunities, and shape change rather than simply maintaining the status quo Even if you do not fulfil all of the above requirements, we encourage you to apply if you believe your experience will add value to our team.
