About the opportunity We are seeking a Product Compliance Manager / Senior Analyst to join the PTX (Product, Technology, and User Experience) Risk & Compliance team within PTX Operations. The PTX Risk and Compliance Team is primarily focused on assisting PMs with risk assessments and implementations for new products, compliance initiatives and audit findings. This role affect a compliance-oriented professional to help unblock key deliverables and new products by streamlining and coordinating requirements stemming from senior stakeholders across our four main markets (Germany, Spain, Italy, and France), as well as tackle large proactive regulatory initiatives like EU AI Act readiness, DORA implementation, and other relevant MaRisk updates. The ideal candidate will have both a growth and regulatory mindset, enabling senior stakeholders to define the risk appetite for new products and allow N26 to grow in a sustainable and compliant way. Support PTX segments in conducting detection risk assessments for new products. Coordinate PTX segments during the NPP (New Product Process) Risk and Functional assessment processes and liaising with 2LoD (Line of Defense) for requirements. Support PTX and Business Unit with discovery for non-NPP compliance and consumer protection implementations Act as a liaison between 1LoD and 2LoD for any PTX implementations. Assist PTX with any compliance and consumer protection requirements and implementations for regulatory or audit remediation. Enable visibility for the 2LoD on PTX implementations and new products in our pipeline Conduct CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive) analyses for PTX Conduct gap analysis on new legislation to understand potential PTX responsibilities and subsequent requirements for implementation Encourage greater understanding and ownership of risks within the 1LoD Strong integration within PTX segments, becoming a trusted point of contact for Product Managers and Engineers
Three years (five years for manager) working in compliance, product development, risk or strategy at any highly regulated area but including not limited to FinTec, banking, investments, insurance, financial services etc. Ability to navigate the regulatory landscape and thoroughly understand the relevant regulations. Experience in translating regulatory requirements into actionable compliance measures, ensuring that products meet all legal and regulatory standards. Ability to perform risk assessments, identify potential compliance risks, and assist with implementation mitigation strategies. Experience in managing complex projects, especially those involving cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders. Strong understanding of the banking sector, especially understanding of BaIT, Consumer Protection and MaRisk requirements. Ability to communicate clearly with peers, as well as stakeholders of all levels within the organization. Willingness to grow within the team and develop professionally Fluency in English is a must, German language knowledge a plus. Spanish, Italian and/or French are thus prepared but not required.
