As an expert for (server) hardware, you are testing modern hardware platforms and ensuring that our product hardware works reliably, efficiently and securely. You are analysing complex hardware-related relationships, developing test strategies for the production, functionality and compatibility of our hardware and being a central interface between development, product management and operations at our Kirchheim location near Munich.

You design, develop and optimise test methods for server hardware and software – from manufacturing to performance testing to regression testing You continue to operate and develop our test environments and ensure stable, reproducible results You install, configure and maintain (server) hardware in the test laboratory including cabling, networking and administration Analyze fault images, investigate problems and develop sustainable solutions You evaluitate new hardware technologies for IT security solutions and test them in the product context You carry out tests in virtualized environments and work with modern virtualization solutions You edit tickets structured and document results comprehensible You work closely with internal and external interfaces and secure a transparent flow of information You act as a link between development, product management, operations and project management You support complaints and agree with suppliers and service providers You prepare certifications, accompany them and check conformities For knowledge transfer within relevant interfaces, you actively contribute your know-how

Complete technical training or technical studies Multiannual experience in the field (server) Hardware Testing, Evaluation or Quality Assurance Very good knowledge of Unix/Linux, ideally also first experiences with OpenBSD Understanding hardware technologies for IT security solutions and current trends Good network knowledge (routing, switching) and basic knowledge in the VPN area Programming skills in pearl, shell or C Experience with virtualization (e.g. KVM, ESXi, Hyper-V) of advantage Analytical thinking and a structured, solution-oriented way of working Communication strength and joy in cross-departmental cooperation Good knowledge of German and English (min.
