Databricks Platform Engineer (w/m/x) The team With the Data & AI Factory we build the central, company-wide Data & AI platform of credit reform – scalable, cloud-native and future-proof. Our mission: to provide a platform where our teams can quickly, safely and efficiently develop and operate data analytics and AI solutions. We think end-to-end, integrate current technologies and frameworks, and combine innovation with clear principles of security and governance. In this context, we are looking for you as a (Senior) Databricks Platform Engineer to realize this platform together with us, continuously improve it and transfer it to a stable, productive operation.

Together with the team, you are responsible for building and operating our Cloud-based Data & AI platform. You design and implement CI/CD processes as well as Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) to automatically provide and develop infrastructure and platform components. You are responsible for performance, availability, security and cost control of the platform in daily operation. You evaluiate new technologies and integrate suitable tools, frameworks and services into our platform architecture. You work closely with our Data Scientists, Data Analysts, Data Engineers and BI developers to provide a powerful, user-friendly platform. You are actively introducing your experience into architectural decisions, technology reviews and the factory engineering governance setup.

You have a degree in computer science, data engineering, natural sciences or comparable discipline and several years of professional experience in building and operating cloud-native platforms in Data & AI. You have a long-standing passion paired with corresponding experience in building and operating Data & AI platforms (especially Databricks) with a cloud provider (e.g. Azure, AWS). You have well-founded knowledge in the field of Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform or the like) as well as CI/CD pipelines and you know the underlying principles and tools (GitLab or the like). With the best practices in DevSecOps you are familiar with and You are an integral part of your daily work. You have good knowledge of German and English in word and writing.
