In the third-party funded project Learning in Makerspace (LiMa), we develop pioneering teaching formats at the Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences, new learning spaces and didactic concepts at the interface to digitalization and sustainability. Eight high-school maker spaces and interdisciplinary teams create real change – you will become a scientific assistant*in part of it in the field of electrical and information technology, whether in teaching, project development or organization. At the Department of Electrical and Information Technology, you will advise and accompany teachers in the design and implementation of innovative teaching formats in Makerspace: Your tasks include consulting, training and support for students in self-projects, academic achievements and final work, including assignments to work and safety-relevant standards. You are responsible for the equipment, operation and organisational support of the specialist maker space as well as demand-oriented further maker spaces of the university. You work with the further development of usage concepts, safety guidelines and documentation and create manuals as well as instructions. In addition, you will participate in transfer and network activities, such as project publications, information events and participation in specialist meetings. You take part in highly encumbered training and actively contribute their expertise to interdisciplinary cooperation in the Makerspace teams to further develop the teaching-learning concept.

A completed engineering degree (Master/Uni Diploma) and proven knowledge or professional experience in information technology, computer science or electrical engineering. Experiences in Maker Education are beneficial, as well as experiences in the didactic settings HBNE (university education for sustainable development), service learning and research learning. First experiences in teaching or teaching support at a university are desirable, as well as knowledge or experience about didactic approaches to promoting student self-employment. A strong technical understanding as well as the willingness to work into the use of digital and analog tools, machines and IT equipment are a feature. The willingness to learn relevant safety and safety requirements is one of your competencies and first experience in project management. You bring a strong team capacity, communication strength and self-sufficiency as well as a high design motivation and the willingness to take responsibility for content and processes. German knowledge at least C1 level and English knowledge B2 level
