Expert Garden / Garten Expert (m/w/d)

As part of our expert garden team at OBI you combine your passion for sales with your well-founded expert knowledge in plant and garden subjects. In this central operational role, you support our markets in optimizing their performance and improving the results in the plant & garden sector in a sustainable manner. For the coming years, we have set ambitious growth targets and plan to continuously expand our network at locations. The “Expert Garden” department plays a key role in this process by supporting the markets in the integration into the OBI cosmos and promoting successful establishment in the OBI environment. The close cooperation with the markets and the role as an interface between the Store Support Center and the local teams ensure effective control and implementation.

Optimization of market performance: You work closely with the markets to increase sales, improve earnings and minimize losses Coaching and process optimization: You accompany and support employees, establish efficient processes and contribute to the continuous development of markets and partners Interface function: As a connecting entity, you work intensively with the Store Support Center, the merchandising and the local teams to effectively control and implement measures Advice: You advise our markets with a focus on plants & garden assortments, integrierst new franchise partners in the OBI comos, and support the introduction of new processes and digital working methods in the context of an external service-like activity Market visits: In addition, you carry out regular market visits, check the performance and support in optimizing area planning and preparation of rollouts Meetings: In weekly meetings, you will discuss current plants & garden topics and reflect their content and outcomes in a comprehensible manner towards markets – you will act as the first contact person

Expertise in the plant & garden area: You have profound knowledge and passion for plants and gardens. This could be supported both by professional experience in the field and by appropriate training or expertise. Experience in sales and coaching: You have experience in sales and know how to support markets to increase performance. You bring coaching qualities and you can motivate teams and employees as well as work efficiently on the further development of the markets and partners Communication strength and team work: As a central interface between different departments and teams (Store Support Center, Merchandising, Category Management and local teams), you bring high communication skills and work team-oriented Organizational and independent working methods: You are able to organize regular market visits, perform performance audits and manage projects to optimize area planning independently Digital know-how: You bring interest in the introduction of digital working methods and can effectively integrate new processes and digital tools to support the work of the markets readiness to travel: Since the activity includes market visits, a certain readiness to travel is necessary
