For one of our customers in the Großraum Duisburg we are looking for an experienced manager of channel operation (w/m/d). Description Technical and disciplinary management of a department in the field of sewer maintenance and water management General responsibility for personnel, organisation and budget of the department Leadership, motivation and further development of a team of around 50 professional and 15 technical staff including several executives Ensuring an economic, safe and efficient operation of the water infrastructure Development of technical standards and optimization of workflows and organizational structures Control and coordination of cross-departmental projects and processes Responsibility for the maintenance and operation of dewatering plants and other water management facilities Cooperation with internal and external contact persons, authorities, service providers and other project participants Participation in the strategic development of responsibility

Successfully completed studies in civil engineering, urban water management, environmental engineering or a comparable qualification Multiannual professional and management experience, ideally in the field of water management, channel operation or municipal infrastructure Knowledge of water management, particularly in the operation and entertainment of sewer networks, and ideally in the areas of sewer rehabilitation, flood protection or water retention Impressed leadership, communication and organisational competence as well as a structured and economic way of working Class B driving licence and German language skills on at least C1 level in word and font
