The Hospitals Landkreis Freudenstadt gGmbH offers professional medical care in a family atmosphere at two locations. In Freudenstadt, a hospital for basic and regular care is operated with 330 beds including a helicopter landing site, in the nearby Horb, a clinic for Geriatric rehabilitation with 50 beds supplements the offer for our patients. In addition, the clinics are accredited as an academic teaching hospital at the University of Tübingen. We are looking for our team at the Clinic for General and Visceral Surgery at the next possible time Senior Consultant (m/w/d) Full-time employment The General and Visceral Surgery Clinic is head of Dr. René Hennig, specialist in surgery, visceral surgery and special visceral surgery. There is full training authorization for visceral surgery and for 12/24 months for special visceral surgery. In order to enable a wide range of surgical training, surgical training is also carried out in cooperation with the Department of Accident Surgery and Orthopaedics (Chairwoman Susanne Atug). This involves a common group of assistants. In the General and Visceral Surgery Clinic, surgery of the entire gastrointestinal tract is carried out without esophagus and pancreas surgery. There is an intestinal center. Operations on stomach, small intestine, colon and rectum in oncological and inflammatory diseases are carried out predominantly minimally invasively. A special focus is on minimally invasive surgery (3D laparoscopy), bariatric metabolic surgery and anti-reflux surgery. The endocrine surgery of thyroid gland and parathyroid gland as well as adrenal gland belongs to our spectrum. Hernia surgery is quality-secured and of course also almost exclusively minimal-invasive. In addition, the care of patients with arterial closure disease, embolic vascular closures and, in cooperation with endocrinology and diabetics, the treatment of the diabetic foot syndrome takes place within the vascular center. There are currently approx. 1,500 operations carried out in the stationary area, supplemented by 200 outpatient operations and there is an extensive transfer and emergency ambulance.
