Senior Data Engineer – Banking / Data Analytics Personalisierung (m/f/d)

You design, implement and operate robust data pipelines and platforms to provide high-quality data to sales and specialist areas in the Sparkassen financial group You develop and optimize ETL/ELT streams, data warehouse and (Lakehouse) architectures for reporting, analytics and machine learning applications You model data (e.g. according to DWH standards) and ensure data quality, consistency and traceability along the entire data path You work closely with Data Scientists, Analyst:inside, specialist departments and IT to meet requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions You monitor and optimise performance, stability and costs of the data platforms and ensure a high level of automation (e.g. CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code) You structure your work in JIRA, document architecture, data flows and decisions in Confluence and share your knowledge in the team

Complete study of (economic) informatics, mathematics, physics, engineering or equivalent knowledge acquired through professional experience and training Multiannual professional experience as Data Engineer, DWH/BI developer:in or in a comparable role, ideally in the banking environment or in the financial sector Lateral / professional leadership experience or project management with own project team Finded knowledge in SQL as well as a programming language such as Python (even Scala/Java) and safe handling of relational and ideally distributed database systems Experience in building and operating ETL/ELT processes, in data modeling (e.g. Star Schema, Data Vault) and in handling large amounts of data Practical experience with modern data platforms and technologies (e.g. Apache Spark, Kafka, cloud services such as Azure/AWS/GCP or comparable on-premise solutions) Knowledge of CI/CD, version management (Git) and container technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes) are advantageous Very good knowledge of German in word and writing on C1 level
