Senior User Researcher (m/f/d)

As a senior user researcher, you are responsible for research activities in a topic field. You guide the team to translate the insights into digital products and services that address the needs of the users. In addition, you take over leadership tasks and represent the DigitalService at public events. Details about the place Establishing User Research: You establish User Research in a theme field, build the structures within the project and conduct the corresponding research strategy. You act as a central contact: for the multidisciplinary, agile project team and the project management. End-to-end research responsibility: You guide research initiatives from planning and design to imparting insights and continuous improvement of our products and services through a comprehensive method repertoire. Optimization of user journeys using different data points: You use method triangulations from primary and secondary, qualitative and quantitative data sources to create a comprehensive picture of benefit behavior and optimize user journeys. Research Documentation and Result Communication: You prepare research knowledge in our internal knowledge management tool and present the findings from internal and external stakeholders as well as public events. Qualification and quality assurance: You are responsible for the quality of the user research measures in a topical field and enable non-user researchers:inside your topic, you can work qualitatively high. Discipline work: Optionally, after you have been incorporated, you will be responsible for personnel for further user researchers:inside and/or responsible for a technical topic. This is how you contribute to the further development of our discipline.

You have experience in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in an agile environment, as well as involving team colleagues in research activities. You have expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methods, including qualitative interviews, usability tests, surveys and user journey mapping. You are able to include all types of users in appropriate research activities to help teams understand the variety of benefits of management services. Ideally, you are familiar with projects in the public sector. You are able to deliver high-quality research results in a short time frame. You have already collected first leadership experiences, for example in the form of coaching roles or previous personnel responsibility. You speak fluent German (C1) and English (C1). We speak both English and German in everyday work. Please prepare work examples that give an insight into how you prepared, guided, evaluated and communicated user-research projects, what was the context and what were the challenges. You can use the STAR method to give an overview of situation, task (task), activities (action) and results (results).
