Area Manager for Executives with a Military Background , FRA3

The key to a leadership position in our logistics centers is the ability to lead a team to motivate and inspire employees, to set ambitious and achievable goals and then implement these goals together. The operating division is the heart of Amazon. This essential part of our company ensures that we send orders efficiently so that our customers receive their articles in time. As an Area Manager, you will ensure that all processes at your location work as smoothly as possible so that we can meet customer demand. You run a team that ensures the safety, efficiency and first-class quality of our operations. In addition, you will guide a number of projects across our entire network to promote productivity.

Key job responsibilities

• Create, supervise and promote a culture of security and well-being
• Analysis and implementation of changes to ensure continuous high quality and productivity
• Oversight of projects to streamline processes, optimize productivity and improve service quality for customers in your area of responsibility
• Analysis of the shifts according to company specifications and implementation of measures to improve our operational excellence
• Cooperation with colleagues at the management level in order to harmonize shift procedures

Basic qualifications

• Degree of study
• Leadership experience
• Relevant experience in communication with different stakeholders, including colleagues and executives
• Relevant experience in using data or anecdotal evidence to justify business decisions
• Advanced English and German knowledge in word and writing Preferred qualifications
• Experience in working with Lean, Six-Sigma and Kaizen methods
• Experience with work in another logistics environment
• Experience in working with the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional environment
