Data Engineer - Operational Reporting (m/f/d)

You design, develop and operate scalable solutions for ALDI Nord's international data & analytics platform with your team, with the aim of expanding the internationally uniform number reporting to control all branches You take the end-to-end response to linking new data sources, developing and optimizing complex ETL pipelines and providing and maintaining the cloud infrastructure You design and develop data transformation processes (e.g. Databricks, Spark or Azure Data Factory) and develop robust data models You will ensure the stable operation of our BI tools in the framework of operations, monitoring, deployment and incident management and value data quality You work closely with business intelligence engineers and project managers on business requirements, concepts and work packages Your focus is on data engineering, but ideally, you also have experiences in the field of BI-Frontend (e.g. creation of reports, Power BI) You work with the most modern tools and methods like DataOps, DevOps and Scrum, continuously expanding your knowledge and sharing with your colleagues

You have successfully completed your studies in one of the fields of mathematics, computer science, natural science or technology (MINT) or can demonstrate a comparable qualification Mind. 5 years of professional experience in the fields of data engineering or business intelligence or a comparable activity and experience in the professional advice of teammates Experience with modeling data (Star Schema, Data Vault, Third Normal Form) and implementation in software products You have well-founded knowledge of the development of ETL pipelines ideally with Python, SQL and Spark; knowledge of terraform and git are desirable You have experiences in dealing with big data technologies, ideally with products from Microsoft Azure Cloud (e.g. Databricks, Azure Data Lake, Azure DevOps) A high degree of independence, care and quality awareness Experience with work in agile Scrum teams
