Your profile: Training for vocational schools with an apprenticeship in forestry and another subject that can be used in vocational schools. From 11. September 2026 with full employment in the higher service and usually in the civil service. Direct entry: Professional graduate preferably with university degree or equivalent (master) degree in the field of forestry and with at least two years of relevant professional practice in accordance with the conditions mentioned on the information pages (see link under “Application”). Other subject-related university degrees (e.g. Bachelor, FH Diploma) can also be examined for recognition. A relevant dual training and practical reference are desirable. From 7 September 2026 you can first be hired as a so-called direct starter with full employment, with allowances. You will receive a vocational training in the first two years. Within the framework of the civil service regulations, after three years there is the possibility of beaming. In the case of childcare, care for dependent or severely handicapped persons, extended part-time may be agreed in the two-thirds model for the qualifying phase upon application.
