The clinics for nuclear medicine and radiology provide the University Hospital Ulm and the associated hospitals with the entire range of services of nuclear medical and radiological diagnostics and therapy, including photon counting CT, several 3T high field MRT systems, as well as hybbrid imaging with SPECT/CT, PET/CT (Biograph Vision 600), and PET/MR (Biograph One with TOF technology), which is operated as a core facility. The radiopharmacy is equipped with a cyclotron and radiopharmaceutical GMP laboratories. At the nuclear medical therapy station we carry out all common therapies with open radionuclides. A small animal PET is available in the biological research laboratory of nuclear medicine. Their use takes place in equal proportions in the Clinic for Nuclear Medicine and in the Clinic for Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology. In science and teaching, our focus is on multimodal molecular imaging, especially in oncology and neurology. We are successfully involved in several research alliances, such as the project QuE-MRT funded by the BMFTR or the National Centers for Tumor Diseases NCT (NCT SW).
