Experienced Consultant in the Consulting Field Geospatial (m/w/d)

As a primary digitization partner of the Bundeswehr, we provide stable, safe and efficient IT services in Germany and abroad, from basic operations to the field close to the application and thus contribute to the continuous increase in the leadership and operational capacity of the Bundeswehr. With over 7,000 colleagues, we operate and modernise one of the largest and most complex IT infrastructures in Germany. Together with us, you are worried about the future digital capability of the Bundeswehr. Senior Consultant (m/w/d) from 01.08.2025 and full-time at one of our BWI locations. The consulting area Digital Defense focuses on the increasingly glass battlefield. With the consulting fields “Land & Special Operations”, “Air & Maritime Operations”, “Intelligence” and “Geospatial” we work directly with and in the Communities of Interest. This is how we contribute to the information, leadership and at the end also to the superiority of the Bundeswehr. In the “Geospatial” consulting field, we advise on all questions of geoinformation. We have a key role here: Without geo-referenced information, if possible in real time, armed forces cannot exist on the glass battlefield of the future. Therefore, we work on direction-setting projects of the Bundeswehr's Geoinformation Service as well as cross-functional for the projects of the adjacent consulting fields. IT consulting and support services on topics of geoinformation management - in particular geoinformation support concepts, requirements consulting, requirements engineering and IT service developments Recording and analysis of customer requirements as well as specification and processing of requirements for new or further developing IT services Head of subprojects and support for consulting projects in the various phases of the project Use of excellent expertise to shape the IT landscape of geoinformation in a sustainable manner in cooperation with our internal and external customers Configuring contributions in overarching working groups and maintaining contacts with the relevant stakeholders Ensuring compliance with quality standards, IT security policies and compliance requirements Interface function between the customer Bundeswehr and the internal departments of BWI Establishing and imparting methodological skills

Complete subject-related university studies or comparable qualification

Mind. 2 years of relevant professional experience after studying (5 years after training), preferably in the context of the Bundeswehr, NATO or in the IT consulting

Knowledge about meteorology and oceanography, NATO Architecture Framework (NAFv4), Esri ArcGIS product line, requirements engineering or cloud computing are beneficial

Very good communication and presentation skills as well as a safe professional appearance especially to our customer Bundeswehr
